/ Overview

Billing App gives founders and finance teams one clear view of recurring revenue - active plans, invoices, failed payments and payouts - instead of piecing the picture together from separate payment dashboards every month.

Name: Billing App

Industries: Fintech, SaaS

Date: March 2025 - June 2025

/ Provided Services

01

Product architecture

A data model for plans, subscriptions and invoices that stays consistent even when payment webhooks arrive late or out of order.

02

Dashboard UI/UX

A dense but readable interface so finance can scan MRR, churn and outstanding invoices without digging through menus.

03

Web app development

The billing engine, webhook handling and dashboard shipped as a single, testable codebase.

/ Challenge

Billing data lived in three different places: the payment processor, a forecasting spreadsheet, and a support inbox full of disputed charges. The brief was a single dashboard finance could trust at a glance, without adding friction to the checkout flow paying customers relied on.

/ Solution

We built a billing engine that normalizes every payment event into one source of truth, then layered a fast, filterable dashboard on top. Finance checks one screen instead of three tools, and disputed charges now surface automatically instead of arriving as a support ticket first.

/ Tech Stack

Chosen deliberately for what this project actually needed, not a default stack applied to everything.

PHP & Laravel

Core billing logic, webhook handling and the REST API.

Vue.js

Real-time revenue and invoice views on the dashboard.

MySQL

Transactional storage for subscriptions, invoices and payment events.

/ Client's Feedback

Before this, closing the books meant three spreadsheets and a lot of guessing. Now our finance lead opens one dashboard and trusts the number on the screen without double-checking it. That alone paid for the project many times over.
